Attorney Stephanie Stafford Cleveland represents employers and employees in all aspects of employment law. She previously practiced in the Labor & Employment group of the international law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP.
Stephanie represents clients in litigation and investigations and provides counseling on a wide range of employment issues, including discrimination, harassment and retaliation; covenants-not-to-compete; confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements; whistleblower claims; wage and hour issues; and workplace torts, such as negligence, defamation and invasion of privacy. She also counsels clients on policies and employee handbooks, hiring, training, discipline, termination, and compliance with federal and state law.
Stephanie received her B.S. in 1993 and her M.A. in 1995 from Southern Nazarene University. She received her J.D. cum laude in 1999 from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she was an articles editor for the International Lawyer and a member of Order of the Coif (top 10% of her class). She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Labor & Employment sections of both.
